Upcoming Brabners events to tackle key business issues as Lancashire networking groups grow

A range of events designed to bring together senior business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the North West will be held at our Lancashire office over the coming weeks.

Events from three of our growing invite-only networking groups will take place between July and September this year. They are all designed to help attendees expand their network of likeminded leaders and grow their business knowledge.

 

Building Links — 16 July 2025 —  Lancashire

Among these events is Building Links, a quarterly networking group aimed at business owners and leaders in the construction and property industry. Building Links events take place between our Lancashire and Manchester offices and the next event will be held in Lancashire on 16 July 2025, focusing on health and safety in construction.

It will bring together industry experts to explore how the construction industry is navigating on-site wellbeing and improving health and safety practices. 

Speakers include Claire Burrows, Partner in our regulatory team and David Collins, CEO at health and safety advisory firm Praesium. They will be joined by Paula James of the Lighthouse Charity, John Pickup, owner of architectural practice 3D Eco and Jonathan Potter of Spacecubed.

Jennie Jones is a Partner in our construction team and founded the Building Links network.

She said: “We launched the Building Links network two years ago and now regularly have 60-70 leaders from across the North West property and construction sector attending each event.

It shows there’s a real appetite from the industry, not only to expand their knowledge amid significant industry changes such as the Building Safety Act, net zero commitments, and the implementation of AI, but also to meet likeminded leaders and build real long-term partnerships.”

 

Business Club — 15 July 2025 — Lancashire

Another event is our quarterly Business Club, which will be held at the firm’s Lancashire office on the same week (15 July 2025).

The group is targeted at business leaders and professionals from across the North West to help them grow their networks and develop further working relationships with likeminded leaders.

The event will feature a masterclass session with Darren Neil and Tony Greenwood from Lancashire-based sales training and consultancy business Sales Geek, giving attendees new insights into how their sales strategy can help them scale their business.

Nikki Whittle, Partner in our corporate team, leads the organisation of the Business Club. She said: “The Business Club has grown steadily over recent years with a core group of regular senior attendees from growing businesses across Lancashire who have now developed deep, mutually beneficial relationships.

We have had some excellent speakers at recent events on key topics including growing a business through acquisition and also funding for growth. The Sales Geek team are experts at helping businesses fine tune their sales strategy for growth and Darren and Tony both have decades of experience in sales. 

We’re looking forward to them providing our attendees with quality insights they can take back to their own businesses.”

 

Business Circle — 16 September 2025 — Lancashire

The next Brabners Business Circle event will also be held at our Lancashire office on 16 September 2025. The event, which is hosted by leadership coach Hamish Hamilton, CEO of business coaching and consultancy firm Vistage’s North West Advisory Group, gives business leaders insights into how to develop their own leadership and mindset.
