We’re proud to be supporting Lancaster’s Vale of Lune RUFC by sponsoring the team’s away shirts for the next two seasons.
Our logo will feature on the first team’s away shirt and on an advertising board at Vale of Lune’s ground. We’ll also be match sponsor for the home fixture against Douglas (Isle of Man) on 28 February.
Founded in 1900, Vale of Lune has played at its Powder House Lane ground since 1905. The club’s history includes two Lancashire Cup wins in 1986 and 1992 and today the men’s team competes in the North West Regional Division 2, the sixth tier of the rugby union system.
The club places real emphasis on junior rugby with dedicated girls’ teams and a ladies’ team. It also supports initiatives like This Girl Can — a National Lottery‑funded programme encouraging women from all backgrounds to get active — and SOS Kit Aid, which redistributes second‑hand and unused kits to less advantaged communities around the world.
The sponsorship was arranged by Brett Cooper, a Partner in our corporate team who joined us earlier this year. Brett plays for Vale of Lune’s third team and coaches the under nines boys’ side where his son also plays.
Brett said: “Since joining Brabners, it’s been clear there is a real passion to invest in the communities that we support through our legal expertise. Vale of Lune is a true community club, which has been giving both adults and young people a place to be active, socialise, meet new people and support good causes for decades.
“This investment will not only support Vale’s continued growth in the Lancaster community and ensure it helps more adults and young people in the years to come, but it will also give the Brabners brand additional profile right across the North West area where the first team play.”
Daniel Rainford, Vale of Lune’s director of rugby, said: “Partnering with companies which are passionate about supporting community organisations is vital to the survival and growth of clubs like Vale of Lune. We thank Brabners for their support and are excited to see our fantastic new kit all over the North West in the seasons ahead.
“We’re always keen to discuss further sponsorship opportunities and would advise anyone interested contact sponsorship co-ordinator Karan Banga to learn more.”
With more than 550 colleagues across offices in Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, our mission is to make the difference for our clients, people and the communities we serve.
