Banking & Finance Lawyers
We work with borrowers and lenders to help navigate every stage of their financing transactions and ensure a smooth, effective and commercially driven approach.
Our specialist banking and finance lawyers handle a wide range of event-driven finance transactions alongside dealing with cyclical and ongoing financing needs, covering general corporate lending, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance (investment and development), debt restructuring, asset-based lending and receivables financing.
On the lender side, we work with a number of the UK’s leading high street banks (such as NatWest, RBS, HSBC, Santander and Virgin Money) as well as challenger banks (such as OakNorth Bank and Close Brothers Group), debt funds and private banks.
On the borrower side, our clients include an extensive range of corporates, from small SMEs and fast-growth businesses to PLCs and large corporates.
We finance most aspects of corporate lending transactions from inception to completion, providing commercial and practical advice. Our experience in acting for such a breadth of businesses across all major sectors of the UK economy — as well as on both the borrower and lender sides — means that we offer seamless support as well as key insights into the drivers and challenges faced on both sides of lending transactions. This enables us to cut through any issues during negotiations in a timely and effective manner while being practical, responsive and simply great people to work with.
In 2025/26, we handled over £1.5bn in banking transactions and have particular specialisms in housing finance and litigation funding, as well as delivering core banking and finance transactions.
Our team contains experts who are recognised at the top of their fields in leading legal directory The Legal 500, including in its prestigious Hall of Fame.
