Neurodiversity in the workplace

Thursday 16 March 2023

As you may be aware, this week (13 to 19 March) is Neurodiversity Celebration Week

To mark this fact, and to raise awareness around neurodiverse conditions, the main focus of our upcoming Employment Law update webinar on 23 March will be neurodiversity and how to support this in the workplace.

With an estimated 15 to 20% of the population impacted by neurodiverse conditions (which include, for example, those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia), employers are increasingly aware of and seeking to respond to neurodiversity in the workplace.

We will go through some of the many benefits that neurodiverse workers bring to the workplace and consider this in the context of employers’ legal obligations, taking into account recent case law. We will also be sharing best practice to support and celebrate neurodiverse workers, in order to assist them in reaching their potential.

Should your organisation require support and advice in relation to neurodiversity in the workplace, please contact Joseph Shelston or Claire Flavin or your usual contact in our award-winning Employment team.
