It has been said that “Housing is a lens through which you can look at the whole of society” and at Brabners we certainly believe that to be the case.

Here in the UK, we, as a population, are very focused on the status that comes with home ownership. But there is a systemic, and seemingly ever-growing, need within our society for good quality accommodation for those who can’t afford to buy or rent properties at open market rates.

We felt it was time to take a deeper dive, into the topics that are high on the agenda of the Registered Providers, who play a key role in meeting this need. They face many challenges as they seek to deliver the affordable housing that our country so desperately requires.

In this three-part series, we’ve spoken to Chief Executives of four organisations, to understand what drives them, and how they are navigating the complexities and challenges currently facing the Affordable Housing sector.
