With retailers continuing to integrate technology into everything they do — both to drive new operational efficiencies and adapt to constantly changing consumer behaviours — it’s vital to have access to a trusted legal team that can help you to navigate the contractual and regulatory frameworks for your digital platforms. Any business that’s embracing technology and rapidly innovating can’t do so without introducing some level of risk. Ensuring that your customers, people and brand are protected is paramount to effective digital transformation.
As a full-service law firm with leading retail and technology sector teams, we operate at the cutting-edge of innovation and on the frontlines of the issues that matter most — whether you’re a household name retailer, eCommerce business, disruptive tech start-up or social media seller.
Our eCommerce Suite contains all the essential legal documents that scaling online traders need to operate with peace of mind — from website terms of use and cookie policies to software agreements, online advertising agreements and much more — in one simple, affordable package.
We’re fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest innovators in retail tech, including Very, Booking.com, Groupon, Morrisons, Parcel2Go, Adalyser and Yodel as well as online pharmacies such as Chemist4U.
As part of an extensive tech network across the North and wider England and Wales, we have strong connections with a range of highly innovative companies and investors. Our True North network also contains hundreds of purpose-led organisations committed to supporting the future of the North and driving economic prosperity across the UK through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
We can advise you of the commercial and regulatory requirements that apply to your business to help ensure compliance. We also provide leading guidance around AI regulations, the sale of standalone and bundled insurance products, consumer rights and advertising law, data analytics (particularly in the context of GDPR), social media and social eCommerce, sustainability, payment solutions, fraud and FinTech.

Online trading comes with a stack of legal requirements. Navigating these — and ensuring ongoing compliance — isn’t always easy. Our eCommerce Suite comes with all the essential contracts, policies, procedures, terms and conditions you’ll need to trade online with peace of mind, such as:
You’ll also get access to tailored advice from our legal experts — so no matter your questions and challenges, we have the answers. At a transparent and affordable price, you can focus on growing your business while we take care of the legalities.
We can also support you with navigating the regulatory environment and ESG agenda, intellectual property advice, employment and recruitment services, as well as corporate and litigation assistance.
We’ll complete a consultation with you to identify your exact requirements and tailor a package to suit your needs.

Depending on what stage your business is at, you may also require a raft of other agreements and policies. For example, if you’re developing your online presence to improve the customer experience and take advantages of emerging technologies like AI, it’s likely that you’ll need website and software development agreements, as well as other agreements with software providers.
You may also be outsourcing your eCommerce and retail offering which could require outsourcing agreements, service level agreements or framework or master services agreements.
Data protection and cybersecurity compliance will be crucial. The same goes for advertising standards and consumer rights advice, as well as the agreements and policies you have in place around marketing, promotion and influencer arrangements.
No matter your needs, our multidisciplinary team can provide tailored legal solutions to suit you.
