Richard is a Partner and leads our Commercial and IP and Healthcare sector teams.

In his role as sector leader, Richard sets our Healthcare sector strategy, leads on solutions to the issues faced by our clients and develops our sector talent pool.

Richard is a commercial and healthcare regulatory lawyer, who advises clients on a broad range of commercial issues including terms of business, purchasing, supply, manufacturing, outsourcing, distribution, agency, franchising and joint venture agreements. He also provides broader business advice on issues such as data protection and e-commerce.

Richard gained extensive experience as a pharmacist before entering the legal profession and is extremely well versed in healthcare regulatory issues. He established our healthcare team, which helps clients navigate the complexities of healthcare law, engage with regulatory bodies and protect their commercial interests.

He advises businesses and professionals in the pharmacy market on acquisitions and disposals, NHS pharmacy contract applications, relocations, oppositions, appeals, healthcare regulation and fitness to practise cases.

He has been featured in The Lawyer, The Pharmaceutical Journal, Chemist & Druggist and writes regularly for the Independent Community Pharmacist.

He is classed as a Recommended Lawyer  by The Legal 500, which states that “he really knows his stuff; he listens to his clients and takes a pragmatic approach to matters”.
