Brabners leads on major North West development deal

Wednesday 17 April 2024

We have supported the T J Morris Group on its acquisition and proposed development of King Edward Industrial Estate in Liverpool, in what will be a transformational regeneration project for the city centre.

KEIE Limited, part of the T J Morris Group which trades as Home Bargains, has partnered with Hugh Frost, founder of Beetham, to acquire the King Edward Triangle neighbourhood from Peel L&P, with plans for a major mixed-use development incorporating an ambitious tall building zone.

The Brabners Real Estate Group led on the project, headed by Partner, Luke Taylor.

T J Morris’s Dave Little, a director at KEIE, commented:

“We believe this development will be transformational to our home city.

Brabners provided expert advice and support throughout, and we look forward to building on the long-standing relationship between our businesses, by partnering with them to bring this scheme to life and also on our other ongoing and future projects.”

Luke Taylor, Partner at Brabners added:

“Supporting on this deal is one we’re extremely proud of.

It’s always pleasing to play our part enabling regeneration and supporting economic growth in the North, and across the country, and this project has the potential to be a gamechanger for the city of Liverpool and its skyline.

We look forward to continuing to partner with the T J Morris and Beetham teams on this exciting scheme, to make the development a reality in the coming years.”

This transaction comes hot on the heels of another key transaction in the vicinity, with Brabners playing a pivotal role in securing a transformative deal for the nearby Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal, supporting Peel Ports in a landmark transaction worth hundreds of millions of pounds for the city of Liverpool.
