Changes affecting who can sign fit notes come into force on Friday, 1 July 2022.
As of that date, registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacists will also be able to sign fit notes, whereas previously, it has only been doctors who have been allowed to do this.
This change follows the introduction of digital fit notes earlier this year.
