- Spinal injuries — Sub-standard surgery, failure to diagnose medical conditions or failure to gain informed consent can cause or exacerbate spinal cord injuries.
- Surgical errors — Wrong-site surgery, anaesthetic errors, foreign objects in the body and nerve damage are a few examples that can amount to surgical negligence.
