Susan is a Partner in our real estate team.
She specialises in UK and international real estate investment, development, operations and asset management, acting for global brands, corporates and operators, investors, developers and funders throughout the entire lifecycle of their real estate with a focus on site acquisitions and leasing issues.
Susan has extensive sector knowledge across retail, consumer, leisure and hospitality as well as energy and natural resources, where she acts for suppliers in relation to the real estate aspects of the adoption of sustainable energy solutions for their assets.
She has a large practice in relation to the acquisition and management of substantial property portfolios including high-profile shopping centres as well as office, laboratory/bioscience and hotel assets.
Recognised annually by leading legal directories The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for her calming influence, “extremely responsive” approach and commercial acumen, Susan places client service front and centre and is passionate about cultivating diverse and inclusive workplaces that are built on trust and respect.
Susan started her legal career in Sydney in 1996 before moving to the UK in 2001.
She joined our Leeds office in May 2026 after leading the Leeds-based real estate team at a major global law firm for over seven years. She also works from our London office, where she’s heavily involved in developing our practice in the City.
