Russell is a Partner who specialises in high-value commercial litigation and international arbitration. He's also our Head of International, working to strengthen our connections globally.
Specialising in complex commercial disputes, Russell is regularly instructed to act in multi-million-pound claims before the English courts and arbitral tribunals.
Since starting his career in 2006 at a dispute resolution boutique City of London firm, Russell has built a trusted international network of lawyers. He leverages these connections to handle the full range of commercial disputes, from enforcing judgments and awards worldwide to coordinating cross-border asset recovery as global counsel.
Russell’s recent instructions include:
- A multi-party litigation arising out of the dissolution of a partnership, including a claim for an account of profits iro £30m.
- Enforcement of an arbitral award and related foreign court judgments totalling in excess of €500m.
- A £10m+ claim for damages for unlawful means conspiracy.
- Numerous company law and/or insolvency matters, including unfair prejudice petitions, breaches of fiduciary duties, directors' disqualification proceedings, a just and equitable winding-up petition and claims by creditors.
He's consistently recognised in The Legal 500, where researchers have concluded that "clients can’t recommend him highly enough". He's further lauded as being “a fantastic lawyer with great empathy for clients" and commended for his “leadership and vision”.
