Nick is a Partner and leads our Employment and Pensions team.
Nick is an expert employment lawyer who provides employers across a variety of industries with the expert legal advice they need to make the most of their most important asset – people.
He acts for a range of UK, European and US employers including a number of FTSE 250 clients and household brands. He also works with registered providers, charities, medium and smaller enterprises.
Holding over 27 years’ experience, Nick advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, working closely with board members and HR professionals to devise and implement HR strategies, business reorganisation, redundancy programmes, collective consultation and industrial action.
Nick regularly represents clients in the Employment Tribunal, civil courts and appeal courts and works with some of the UK’s leading employment barristers.
He has a particular specialism in dealing with complex grievance and disciplinary matters, executive terminations, settlement agreements, discrimination and whistleblowing claims.
Nick presents employment law-related seminars and workshops to clients and fellow professionals. In addition to his extensive experience working with leading employers, Nick has developed a national reputation acting for senior executives in high profile, high value, complex claims.
Nick is also involved in the Employment and Pensions team’s work to raise awareness around reproductive health issues in the workplace and to advise employers on how they should seek to, support employees, address these issues and prevent disputes.
He has been named both a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ and a ‘Leading Individual’ by The Legal 500.

Nick joined us in 1994 and is a member of our management board. He is responsible for leading on several strategic initiatives including the creation of ‘Brabners Personal’, an integrated legal offering designed to support private individuals faced with complex issues.
