Jon Galloway
Solicitor
Jon is a Solicitor in our employment team.
He primarily acts for employers and respondents on both contentious and advisory matters, working with senior colleagues, HR teams and in‑house legal teams to deliver support across a broad range of employment law issues and sectors.
Jon joined us in January 2025, having spent several years acting for insurers in counter fraud litigation and later moving into general commercial dispute resolution and employment law. He also completed a secondment at a multinational insurance company, providing him with valuable insight into in-house processes, commercial decision making, operational challenges, leadership and employee relations.
He graduated from the University of Huddersfield with First Class Honours in Law and Business following a placement year working in a project management team in the construction industry. He went on to complete a Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice (Law and Business).
Jon regularly represents and advises clients in relation to employment tribunal litigation, including claims involving allegations of unfair and constructive dismissal, breach of contract, discrimination, whistleblowing and pay-related disputes.
Drawing on his commercial litigation background, Jon also advises on matters involving breaches of post-termination restrictions, misuse of confidential information and contentious issues arising from departing employees.
Alongside his contentious practice, Jon provides day-to-day advice, including in disciplinary and grievance processes, policy and contract drafting, general HR queries, corporate support and IR35 advisory work in collaboration with our tax specialists.
He also advises individuals in relation to negotiated exits and settlement agreements and supports our pro bono offering, including in the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT).
Jon is based in our Leeds office.
