Jeff is a Partner and Practice Group Head of our Litigation and Regulatory teams.
Jeff is a highly experienced commercial litigator who is known for his tenacity and for his dedication in fighting on behalf of his clients.
He advises on contract disputes, warranty claims, landlord and tenant disputes, professional negligence, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, restrictive covenants and judicial reviews. He acts for a wide range of clients and for many household names.
Jeff also specialises in property litigation and was involved in one of the UK’s leading dilapidations cases. He is also experienced in financial services and sport-related disputes.
Jeff is an experienced accredited mediator and is listed on various mediation panels such as Sports Resolution and North West Mediation Solutions.
He is a former President of Manchester Law Society and is a Council member of The Law Society. He also represents lawyers from Greater Manchester at the national Law Society. In addition, he is a member of The Law Society’s Civil Justice Committee and a member of the Property Litigation Association. He also sits as a Deputy District Judge and holds Higher Rights of Audience in civil cases.
He is classed as ‘very capable and knowledgeable’ by The Legal 500 'the unique feature we felt was the business-minded/common sense approach to the issue rather than escalating immediately to take legal action'.
