Solicitor Apprentice

Isobel McCluskey

Isobel is a Solicitor Apprentice currently working within our Housing and Regeneration Team

Isobel mainly assists on issues relating to housing disrepair disputes between Landlords and Tenants.

Isobel has experience assisting on medical negligence matters including misdiagnosis, premature deaths, complications in surgical procedures, care mismanagement and maternal- and birth-related issues. Her clients sought representation to resolve medical disputes against healthcare providers and Isobel deeply understood the importance of these circumstances and the strain that they put on individuals and their loved ones, having spent much time volunteering with the sick, elderly and visually impaired.

Prior to commencing her Apprenticeship, Isobel spent six years as a Litigation Paralegal, mainly specialising in Finance Litigation and Insolvency and developing a strong skillset in relation to navigating civil court procedures. She has specialist expertise in invoice finance claims, restitution claims for mistaken payments and claims against former employees of businesses for damage to company vehicles.

She began her legal career in 2015 when she joined an international commercial law firm, where she completed her CILEx Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services. Currently, Isobel is completing her Solicitor Apprenticeship with the University of Law.

Isobel joined us in 2018 and is based in our Liverpool office
