The Brabners Foundation donates over £25,000 to local causes

The Brabners Foundation's latest round of grant funding has provided over £25,000 to a series of local charities and causes close to our hearts.

This brings the total money granted by The Brabners Foundation to over £166,000 in support of 63 different causes.

The latest grants are going to:

  • Kirkby Eco Therapy Garden — £5,000 to fund a tuck shop area for the garden, which seeks to tackle social isolation and mental health issues in the local community.
  • Liverpool in Arms — £4,750 to support a small charity that helps homeless people with transport. Our donation will fund food, tents, sleeping bags or clothing for up to six months.

  • Local Solutions — £2,500 to help 125 people access health and wellbeing activities across the Liverpool City Region. The beneficiaries of the initiative will be young homeless people, unpaid carers and victims of domestic abuse.

  • Lancashire Teaching Hospital — £2,000 to partially fund an interactive portable floor projection system for the children’s ward at Royal Preston Hospital, where up to 30 children stay each night.

  • Place2Be — £5,000 to fund ten sessions of one-to-one counselling for 31 children suffering with anxiety, sadness or low self-esteem.

  • Trafford Rape Crisis — £3,360 to fund 24 art group sessions for survivors of sexual violence.

  • Leeds Children’s Charity — £3,000 to fund a day of fun and respite at Lineham Farm for 60 underprivileged young people, who will learn new skills and create happy memories.
