Sarah Murphy

Sarah leads our Lancashire Private Client team.

Sarah is an experienced private client lawyer who helps people handle confidential matters and prepare for the future.

She regularly advises on matters including as wills, estate, inheritance tax and succession planning , estate administration (probate), Lasting Powers of Attorney  for a broad range of individual and corporate clients.  Her advice is strategic and holistic and her delivery of that advice is focussed on providing clarity to clients.

She also advises on issues relating to the provision of care for elderly and vulnerable people and is often approached by organisations and other professionals to provide advice to vulnerable clients and their families.

Sarah has a strong background in non-contentious work and she seeks to promote and develop solicitors working in this field as the Chair of the Law Society’s Private Client Section Advisory Committee.

She is a full professional accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, as well as a committee member of the regional group Solicitors for the Elderly, serving Lancashire and Cumbria.

She is a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500 for private client work.

She is a long serving Trustee and Chair of Animal Care (Lancaster and Morecambe) and is a past President of the Lancaster branch of Soroptimist International.
