Robert is a Partner in our real estate development team.
Experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate law, Robert has been involved in a high volume of significant development, regeneration and infrastructure projects throughout his career.
He’s also experienced in asset management and investment, grant and public sector finance, development and real estate finance, property funds, property joint ventures and corporate real estate matters.
A trusted advisor to many long-standing clients, Robert excels at building relationships and enjoys working closely with his clients to deliver on their commercial aims in a determined, efficient and innovative manner.
Prior to joining us in September 2024, Robert spent over 20 years at global law firm DLA Piper, where he was a senior figure in its development team and served as Office Training Partner for two years with responsibility for helping colleagues to develop their careers and experience.
Robert started his legal career at a small, well-respected Manchester-based firm before qualifying in 1999. He went on to join one of the UK’s largest law firms with an international presence before joining DLA Piper in 2002, where he became a Partner that same year.
Robert is based in our Manchester office though his work has a national reach.
Outside of work, Robert is heavily involved in coaching Lacrosse after spending many years playing the sport. He manages both junior and senior teams across club, county and regional levels with a particular interest in talent identification and development.
