Our Managing Partner is the driving force behind our firm’s strategy and ambition.

In conjunction with CEO Robert White, Nik sets the strategic direction of the firm and is responsible for leading the development and performance of the partnership.

Nik plays the leading role in the delivery of our firm’s strategy, our legal services offering and in the performance of our legal teams. He is the voice of and mentor to our lawyers.

Together with Robert, Nik has led the development of the firm’s new sense of purpose and ambition, focused on building an environment in which our people can flourish and on positioning Brabners as a modern, progressive firm and brand.

Nik is a dynamic and purpose-driven leader who cares about shaping an inclusive, collaborative and innovative culture and is a vocal champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.

He is passionate about our firm’s independent status and the opportunity it offers to deliver an enhanced experience for colleagues and clients.

He believes that inspiring, supporting and empowering people is one of his key responsibilities and also the best way to achieve sustainable commercial success.

Nik is a highly respected commercial lawyer and continues to head up and be heavily involved in the work of our Commercial Practice Group.

Clients describe him as “thorough, knowledgeable and commercially aware”, “approachable and professional” and “an excellent negotiator” who “often points out angles you wouldn’t think of”. He is regarded as a ‘Leading Individual’ and a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500 and Chambers.

Nik joined Brabners in 1995 and has dedicated his entire working career to the firm. He spent six years on the Management Board prior to becoming Managing Partner in 2018.

Nik is also a trustee of the Michael Carrick Foundation.
