An experienced housing lawyer, she handles issues such as anti-social behaviour, injunctions, possession, breaches of tenancy, rent arrears, housing disrepair, leasehold management (including lease interpretation), breaches of leases and service charge collection as well as data protection matters.
Josephine acts for a wide range of clients from private landlords and small housing co-operatives to national registered providers throughout the North West.
She has a strong background in contentious housing matters and previously worked at specialist social housing firm Bremners (where she completed her training contract) before the firm merged with us in 2009.
Josephine is a regular speaker at both external and internal training events.
She is classed as both a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ and ‘Leading Individual’ by The Legal 500 which praises Josephine for her “excellent reputation for high-quality, realistic advice and high-quality case preparation”. She has also been recognised in the Chambers and Partners rankings which describes her as "extremely knowledgeable in her role and really approachable".
