David is a Partner in our real estate team.
A Legal 500-recognised strategic land specialist, David has extensive experience in advising landowners, developers, promoters and investors on complex land transactions.
David has particular expertise in negotiating promotion agreements, option agreements and conditional sale agreements and has supported numerous residential-led and mixed-use developments all the way from initial site investigations through planning permission and final disposal. He advises on phased developments, deferred consideration structures and complex overage arrangements.
His practical understanding of how development sites progress from concept to delivery enables David to provide commercially focused advice that helps clients to maximise value while managing risk.
David has acted on a range of other commercial and industrial developments too, including for investor clients on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property (often as part of wider business sales and purchases).
He joined us in August 2026 and is based in our Leeds office.
