Central to his approach is a belief that every family is unique and has circumstances that require careful consideration of individual needs to ensure a successful outcome. Since many of Chris’ clients come to him at their most vulnerable moments, he always aims to be firm but fair and offer support, empathy, clear guidance and advice.
A trained mediator that remains mindful of the Resolution Code of Practice, Chris promotes a non-confrontational approach to family law problems and encourages solutions that consider the needs of the whole family — especially the best interests of children.
Chris is regularly called on by radio and television media to add his expertise to topical discussions about family law. He has made appearances on BBC Radio London, BBC Radio 5 Live and The Victoria Derbyshire Show on BBC Radio 2, where he discussed a high-profile child abduction case. He also contributes to articles in the national and local press and has written a fortnightly column in a regional newspaper for several years.
A family law supervisor at a major North West university, Chris has held various voluntary roles over the years including as a Trustee of Lancashire Mind, the mental health charity.
Outside of work, he’s often found touring the UK in his VW California and attending outdoor music festivals.
Chris joined us in December 2024 and is based in our Lancashire office.
