Zainab is an Associate in our employment, pensions and immigration team.
Zainab has particularly strong expertise in defending complex and varied employment tribunal litigation and has a consistent record of achieving success for clients in those cases.
She also handles advisory and non-contentious employment matters, including helping clients manage their employee change programmes involving the TUPE regulations and large restructures and redundancies.
Zainab is a skilled workplace investigator and has carried out investigations on behalf of clients when they’re at capacity or don’t have the bandwidth to do this themselves.
She enjoys acting as an extension of her client’s team — understanding their goals and how their business works by offering pragmatic and commercial advice.
Zainab is a member of our recruitment and workforce planning and leisure and hospitality sector groups and has acted for several key players in those sectors.
Zainab studied Law at the London School of Economics before training with Brabners in 2020. After exploring other firms, she returned to Brabners in 2024 — which she described as “like coming home”. She is based in our Manchester office.
