Stephen is a Partner in our employment team.
An experienced employment lawyer, he specialises in advising corporate and commercial clients on business reorganisations and redundancies, disposals and acquisitions as well as the impact of TUPE.
He also handles complex and high value employment tribunal claims including claims for unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and trade union disputes.
Stephen acts for clients across a range of sectors from manufacturing and supply chain to leisure, media and tech, energy, financial and professional services.
He also serves as a trusted adviser to clients in the education and charity sectors on complex employment matters such as staff contracts, training and transfers, internal reorganisations (including redundancies) and TUPE issues arising from service provision changes.
Stephen has a strong background in contentious work and has a successful track record in negotiating high level multi million pound settlement agreements for senior executives and directors.
He also presents seminars, training workshops and lectures on employment-related topics to both clients and professional bodies and associations at the local and national levels.
He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Stephen’s clients include JD Wetherspoon PLC, Prysmian Group, Nugent and Autism Initiatives.
Stephen joined us in 2001 and is based in our Liverpool office.
