Duncan Bailey - Head of Private Client Services

Duncan is a Partner and leads our Private Client and Charity team.

He is an experienced private client lawyer who offers the bespoke advice clients need to prepare for the road ahead.

In advising on overall estate planning, he provides trust and tax advice in conjunction with drafting tax efficient wills and backing these up with Lasting Powers of Attorney.

He also deals with trust creation and administration, probate administration and Court of Protection work. He regularly acts for individuals, trusts and owner-managed businesses.

Duncan has a strong background in contentious and non-contentious work and is experienced in driving effective wealth protection strategies by advising on trust, tax planning and probate matters. His expertise is frequently called on by business owners for the purposes of succession planning.

He was also instrumental (alongside Helen Marriott and Nick Campbell) in the creation of ‘Brabners Personal’. This is a holistic and integrated legal offering designed to give clients what they want and need, no matter how complex the issues they face.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds a STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes. He is also former Chair of both STEP Liverpool and the Liverpool Law Society’s Non-Contentious Business Committee.

He is classed as a Recommended Lawyer’  by The Legal 500 which describes him as “highly rated, experienced and knowledgeable”.
