Daniel Hayhurst

Daniel is a Partner in our corporate team.

Daniel is an experienced corporate lawyer who specialises in private equity and venture capital matters as well as merger and acquisition transactions. He is a member of our Manufacturing and Supply Chain and Technology sectors.

He handles corporate transactions and corporate finance issues such as mergers, acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, reorganisations, company start-ups and shareholders’ agreements. He is particularly experienced in advising on venture capital and private equity investments into start-up and scale-up businesses and is a core member of our Technology Funding Team.

He acts for a range of clients including entrepreneurs, corporate clients and private equity houses.

Daniel has a strong background in transactional work including advising on private equity-backed buyouts, development capital investments and high profile disposals.

He has advised on the MBI of Process Control Services UK, backed by Panoramic Growth Equity; acted for management on an investment by Waterland Private Equity into Gas Tag and advised the shareholders of Tourism Media Group on the sale of the company to US acquirer, Simpleview. He also acted for EdTech business Bibliu on their £7.5m Series A funding round and for BGF on their exit from e-discovery business provider Anexsys.

Daniel’s clients include BGF, Mercia Asset Management PLC, Maven Capital Partners LLP, Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF), Monva and Acai Activeware .

Daniel joined us in 2013 and is based in our Liverpool office.
