Chen Ji

Trainee Solicitor

Chen is a Trainee Solicitor in our real estate development team.

Prior to starting her training contract, Chen worked as a Paralegal in our banking and finance and Employee Ownership Trusts (EOT) teams, supporting clients on a broad range of financing, employee ownership transition and corporate governance matters.

Alongside her client work, Chen is an active member of our internal action groups, contributing to initiatives that champion social mobility, racial equity and disability inclusion across the firm. Within the wider north-west business community, Chen is a member of pro-manchester's Racial Equity Group and Social Mobility Sounding Board.

Chen read English Law with German Law at New College, Oxford and holds an LLM from the University of Bristol. Prior to her legal career, she worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor and in disability inclusion, supporting young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities.

She is fluent in English, German and Mandarin Chinese.

Chen completed our Vacation Scheme and accepted a Training Contract with us in 2024. She is based in our Manchester office.
