Nick is our Chief Technology Officer.
Nick is a highly experienced IT professional who leads the firm in developing and implementing an IT strategy that is closely aligned to the strategic business priorities. He sits alongside the firm's Operational Directors to support the Management Board and wider partnership in managing the firm's IT infrastructure development and support services.
The team has a strong track record in balancing the provision of an excellent ‘business-as-usual’ IT operations while delivering innovative change programmes to deliver secure, scalable and agile technology with greater return on investment.
He also acts as a technical architect across the complete lifecycle of the data centre, infrastructure and desktop/mobile BYOD including supplier relations, cloud services management, governance and process. He is an expert in delivering wholesale system infrastructure change projects across multiple product stacks. His specialisms include security, computer storage/data, networking and virtualisation.
Nick has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry across both the public sector and private sectors. He worked in a senior IT management role at one of the North West’s largest Technology Colleges and also as an IT Consultant before joining us in 2011 as our Infrastructure & IT Manager. Nick became our Chief Technology Officer in 2017.
