Michael is a Consultant in our corporate team.
An experienced corporate lawyer who handles issues such as corporate finance, venture capital, MBOs and MBIs, Michael acts for businesses across a range of sectors from construction to retail.
He's recognised in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame for 2025.
Michael also advises on general business law matters and has acted as a non-executive director for a number of local companies.
He has a strong background in non-contentious work and he has practised for over four decades. He is experienced in finance and served as our Finance Partner for several years.
He also serves as a trustee of the Hodgson Charitable Trust which helps to provide post graduate legal education for overseas scholars at the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University.
Michael joined us in 1976 and acted as our Managing Partner from 1994 to 2009. He is based in our Liverpool office.
