Lachlan leads our Regulatory and Professional Conduct team.

Lachlan regularly handles regulatory cases concerning health and safety, public and administrative, criminal and disciplinary law, along with regulatory compliance, white collar crime and trading standards matters.

He acts for regulated professionals, sports personalities and other prominent individuals as well as private companies and public bodies.

Lachlan is acknowledged as the UK’s leading firearms and field sport lawyer advising individuals and a range of businesses and organisations in this area. He is the Legal Advisor to the British Association for Shooting and Conservation.

Lachlan served as the Solicitor to the Anthony Grainger Public Inquiry, and was instructed in the Baha Mousa and Al-Sweady Public Inquiries. He continues to represent senior individuals designated as Core Participants to the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.

Lachlan is a solicitor-advocate and is security cleared for government work. He also has extensive experience in prosecuting for public bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, the Care Quality Commission and other private prosecutors.

He is classed as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500 which describes Lachlan as an “excellent communicator” who “leaves no stone unturned, possesses a strong tactical awareness and prepares extensively for each case”.

Lachlan is described as "excellent" in Chambers & Partners and ranked in Band 1 for Crime and Band 3 for licensing.

Lachlan’s clients include the Antares Managing Agency Ltd and Peel Ports Group. He is the Chair of the board of Trustees of the Petty Pool Trust and is a trustee for the Brabners Foundation as well as chairing the firms Charity Committee.
