Krista is a Partner in our real estate team.

She deals with acquisitions, disposals and property management work and has acted for a wide variety of clients, including some of the UK’s largest property developers, investors, owner-occupiers and fund managers, as well as leading banks and financial institutions.

Having practised property law since 2002, Krista has worked on many major projects including leading the multidisciplinary team that dealt with the acquisition of Leeds Urban Village for Tonia Cole Waterhouse. Her key clients include Cole Waterhouse, CorpAcq Group, Sale Sharks and Castle Collections.

Krista’s work takes her across a variety of sectors with a focus on property, construction, regeneration, sport, retail and leisure.

Always available and reliable, Krista is known for her excellent communication skills and time management. She invests a lot of time in building a clear understanding of her clients’ businesses, goals and priorities to offer commercial, no-nonsense advice.

A member of the LDN Collective — a network of built environment experts and creatives offering a 'one stop shop' for property projects in the UK and beyond — Krista collaborates to provide expertise across all aspects of the property industry, including around social impact, zero carbon and modern methods of construction, as well as architecture, engineering and graphic design.

Prior to rejoining us in 2018, Krista held the position of partner at a European law firm after spending nine years at a UK commercial law firm. She previously trained at Brabners from 2000 to 2002.

Krista is often asked to provide commentary on the latest property law developments and has written for major publications like the Estates Gazette. Her lifelong interest in property was passed down from her father, who was involved in property development and investment.

Alongside her day job, Krista is a member of our gender diversity group, which focuses on identifying issues and improving gender diversity across the firm. She’s also a Mental Health First Aider, which helps her to offer support and guidance to colleagues, as well as others outside of the firm.

Krista is based in our Manchester office.

Krista Powell frequently handles high-value acquisition and development projects.
