Kerry Boyle
Legal Director
Kerry is a Legal Director in our corporate team.
With extensive experience in the insurance sector, Kerry specialises in the regulation of insurance, particularly general insurance.
Kerry qualified in 1989 and has been advising on the regulation of general insurance since 2005. She provides expert advice to insurers, insurance brokers and other businesses with an involvement in the sale of general insurance on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) rules and requirements.
Her support extends to advising on insurance market contracts, for example distribution agreements between insurers and brokers and appointed representative agreements between authorised insurance intermediaries and their appointed representatives, helping clients to ensure that their contracts comply with their regulator’s requirements.
Kerry also advises businesses operating in the Lloyds Market on Lloyds rules and requirements and the terms of Lloyds delegated authority agreements.
Clients value Kerry’s pragmatic approach — she works methodically to identify relevant rules, assess compliance issues and provide practical advice as to how to prevent the issue recurring and engage with the relevant regulator.
Kerry began her insurance career at an insurance group in Liverpool, working with in-house teams on product innovation and product reviews and closely collaborating with the compliance team on implementing new legislation from within the UK and the EU. She has since practiced at several international law firms across the North West — including Leeds and Manchester — specialising in financial institutions. She has been a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute since 2005.
Kerry joined Brabners in March 2025 and is based in our Liverpool office.
