A regulatory and business crime lawyer, Matt handles issues such as major corporate and gross negligence manslaughter investigations, investigations and prosecutions by bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, local authorities, CQC, HMRC and the police.
Matt has also worked on a major ongoing Public Inquiry and has advised many clients required to appear at coroner inquests.
He has a background as a former criminal defence lawyer as well as a Senior Crown Prosecutor and for a period worked as Crown Counsel in an overseas jurisdiction.
Matt has a strong background in all matters relating to business crime and regulatory law and is a Member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association (HSLA). He's recognised as a 'Recommended Lawyer' in The Legal 500 2026.
Matt joined us in August 2021 and is based in our Manchester office.
