Andrew is a Solicitor in our litigation team and an experienced medical negligence lawyer. 

He acts for clients who have suffered injury as a result of medical negligence in a variety of healthcare settings including GPs, NHS Trusts, private hospitals, dental practices and pharmacies.

Andy has advised on a wide range of complex medical negligence matters and has particular experience with claims involving delays in diagnosis, orthopaedic injuries, pressure sores, ophthalmology, surgical procedures, cancer and extravasation injuries.

Notable cases have included wrong site spinal surgery resulting in catastrophic injuries, secondary victim claim on behalf of a parent who witnessed their child in diabetic ketoacidosis, ophthalmic injury involving the development of endophthalmitis and resultant loss of vision and negligently performed knee replacement resulting in permanent mobility loss.

Andy is known for his collaborative approach, both with clients and defendants, in order to achieve timely and positive resolution of cases.

After graduating from Edge Hill University with a first class law degree, Andy began his legal career in 2015 at a Top 100 law firm specialising in personal injury and medical negligence. He was awarded a training contract in 2020 and studied the Legal Practice Course part time at Liverpool John Moores University, achieving a Distinction.

As part of his training contract, Andy was seconded to the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO), during which time he prepared an industry informing report on reforms to NHS litigation costs. He subsequently qualified as a Solicitor in 2022 and was nominated as Young Achiever of the Year in the Personal Injury Awards.

Andy joined us in September 2023 and is based in our Liverpool office.
