Brabners announced as key partner of 2023 Lancashire Day business event

Thursday 16 November 2023

Brabners will commemorate Lancashire Day 2023 by backing the county’s largest dedicated business celebration of the historic event.

Lancashire Day takes place every year on 27 November to commemorate the day in 1295 when representatives from Lancashire were sent to Parliament for the first time.

And to mark the occasion, Brabners is joining a number of leading Lancashire businesses and entrepreneurs in sponsoring the Lancashire Business Day event, which is run by the county’s largest business publication, Lancashire Business View.

The business event, which was first held in 2017, takes places on 24 November at Accrington Stanley Football Club with fellow patron sponsors including +24 Marketing, Allica Bank, Beever and Struthers, Botany Bay Business Park, Burnley College, Ember Energy Lancashire and Hyndburn Borough Council.

Lancashire Mind will be the event’s official charity partner, helping to raise awareness and funds for the mental health organisation.

Guests at the event will hear from inspiring business leaders across areas of heritage, transformation, growth and exporting, as well as enjoying the best of Lancashire food and drink.

Speaking on the partnership, Robert White, CEO of Brabners, said: “Lancashire is a thriving business community and home to countless organisations that lead their field regionally, nationally and internationally, while continuously investing in the county.

“Events such as these play an important role in celebrating and curating Lancashire’s powerful and growing economic narrative, so we were naturally keen to support.

“Brabners has had a strong presence in Lancashire for over 100 years and it’s a location where many of our longstanding clients are based. Our commitment to the county is reflected in the investment in our offices and the recruitment of market-leading lawyers across areas such as corporate, commercial, litigation, real estate and private client.

“As our firm continues to look to the future, Lancashire does too, with the county seemingly closer than ever to securing a devolution deal. It would be fitting if this deal was confirmed close to Lancashire Day.

“Devolution would go a long way towards unlocking the true economic potential of the region. This type of partnership approach to driving our region is at the heart of our new True North network, which will support in helping to deliver a brighter and greener future for the North.

“We want to play our part in celebrating and evolving Lancashire, and we look forward to sharing an enjoyable day with like-minded partners, while supporting an important charity in Lancashire Mind.”
