Normalising the conversation around Menstrual Health in the Workplace

Friday 27 May 2022

Did you know that 93% of women, in a survey carried out by TOTM, said that period related pain or discomfort had impacted their working day – yet these employees, in most cases, are likely to be suffering in silence and without support?

In our latest Brabners podcast, Trishna Modessa-Parekh, an Associate in the Employment and Pensions Team at Brabners is joined by Manjit K Gill MBE,  CEO and Founder of Binti - the first charitable organisation dedicated to periods in the UK with offices globally.

In honour of World Menstrual Health Day on Saturday 28 May 2022, Trishna and Manjit explore the challenges around menstrual health in the workplace, including providing practical tips and guidance for employers wanting to normalise conversations around menstrual health in the workplace and create impactful change for their staff. Their discussion also covers other challenges such as cultural beliefs, which interplay with the stigma around periods in general and specifically, in the workplace.
