Our Trust and Tax team has wide ranging experience in dealing with compliance matters in the Private Client Sector.

This offers extended support to our legal team and bespoke services to our clients.

For Individuals

Taxation

We provide annual tax compliance services for individuals with varying sources of income and capital gains tax exposure and ad hoc capital gains tax calculations for individuals typically with investment properties and principle private residence claims.

General Affairs

We offer day to day management of affairs where individuals are no longer wanting/able to look after their own affairs, for example, paying bills, checking bank statements, claiming benefit entitlement, reviewing insurance policies, etc.

For Trusts/Trustees

Taxation

We offer a full annual tax compliance services for Trusts including completing and submitting annual returns, all fully compatible with HMRC on line filing requirements. We provide R185’s and advice to Beneficiaries re personal tax requirements. This incorporates dealing with all tax compliance aspects of vestings and terminations, preparing Returns, computations for Trustees and Beneficiaries, provision of all advice as required in conjunction with legal team.

Trust Administration

We will, for all types of trust and as a matter or course, liaise with Trustees, Beneficiaries, and third party advisors on day to day basis and attend Trustees meetings.

Trust Accounting

We can prepare full trust accounts either annually or periodically for all types of trust.

For Executors/Estates

Taxation

A full tax compliance service is available for probate matters. Dealing with outstanding tax years to date of death and preparing returns and calculating refunds/liabilities. We also deal with Income Tax & Capital Gains Tax issues arising in the period of administration & prepare R185 certificates for beneficiaries.

For Charities

We offer a full administration service which includes:

  • Acting as registered office and administrators, dealing with all charity correspondence as required including donations and requests
  • Dealing with annual compliance, including preparation of accounts for independent examination or audit as required
  • Attendance at and chairing trustee meetings
  • For new charities: setting up the administrative framework
