Dealing with the Pensions Regulator, the PPF and other adjudicators

The pensions environment has become more and more regulated over the past twenty years.  Pension schemes need to file annual reports with the Pensions Regulator, who has broad powers of oversight and can intervene, replace trustees, levy fines and impose penalties.

The Pensions Protection Fund charges an annual levy on all final-salary type pension schemes based on its funding position and the strength of its employer or employers.  Careful planning can often significantly reduce the cost of that levy, reducing strain on both scheme and employer.  We can work with your scheme’s financial advisors to help ensure you pay no more than you need to.

We can advise on and handle claims before the Pensions Ombudsman (the pensions equivalent of employment tribunals) for both claimants and respondents, acting for individuals, trustees and employers.
