Investment issues and contracts

Investment issues and contracts

Investment issues are becoming increasingly complex.  Few trustees of pension schemes have the technical skills and expertise to invest their funds directly on behalf of their members.  Instead, they usually appoint investment managers to act on their behalf.  Even so, the ultimate responsibility for the success or otherwise of the scheme’s investments remains with the trustees.

It is essential that agreements entered into with investment managers properly protect the scheme’s and the trustees’ interests.  We can help to review any such documentation and advise on potential problems.

If things do go wrong, we, along with our experienced colleagues specialising in litigation, can help to pursue claims and seek compensation, either from the advisers’ insurers or from the advisers themselves.
