Our Insolvency solicitors work with clients at the earliest stage possible to identify problems and initiate a strategy that will seek to provide a beneficial outcome for stakeholders.
Our team works closely with lawyers from our employment, corporate finance and property teams to provide advice on formal and informal recovery situations. Unlike other law firms, we have a dedicated in-house team of corporate finance accountants with turnaround and recovery expertise, including active non-exec management support for clients.
Acting for insolvency practitioners, institutional lenders, equity investors and management teams, we advise on issues that arise before and after the commencement of formal insolvency procedures.
Restructuring & Pre-Insolvency
We work closely with insolvency practitioners to advise on formal and informal arrangements with creditors. Our work regularly includes advising directors regarding their obligations and duties when a company gets into difficulty trading, or is the subject of a dispute that may have a detrimental affect on its ability to continue to trade.
Our Insolvency solicitors regularly advise insolvency practitioners from small, large and medium-sized firms across the North West, as well as being trusted advisers to clients of a number of the turnaround advisers across the North West.
We advise banks (having been appointed to the panel of a number of banking groups), office holders and creditors in relation to issues and disputes arising during Administrations, Receiverships (administrative receiverships and Law of Property Act appointees), Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVA’s) and Liquidations (solvent and insolvent).
