Our specialist environmental and planning teams act for some of the largest and busiest ports in the country.  This gives us a unique insight into the issues which affect such businesses.

With the introduction of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 which the Marine Management Organisation in England and made significant changes to licensing in the marine environment.

The Act affects many of those involved with the marine environment, including:

  • Harbour authorities
  • Developers
  • Funders
  • Government organisations.

We have significant experience of advising the Port sector on site risk, water pollution and resources consenting, marine consenting, environmental aspects of Harbour Empowerment and Revision Orders, EIA and nature conservation.
