Industrial Relations Strategy

Industrial Relations Strategy

Our specialist employment law team regularly advises on industrial relations strategy and the legal implications of industrial action.

The law relating to industrial action is an area which must be navigated with care and requires practical experience as well as a detailed knowledge of the applicable law. We are particularly well placed to advise on industrial relations issues with team members having had hands on experience of working in house with our client’s HR and Employee Relations teams including direct experience of face to face negotiation with trade unions.

We advise on areas including avoiding and dealing with all types of industrial action, collective bargaining at work, collective grievances and multi claimant Tribunal claims, the variation of collectively agreed terms and conditions, the rights of trade union official and members and responding to and managing union recognition requests. We also regularly assist our clients on alternative methods of employee engagement and communication in the workplace including the establishment of people forums and other representative bodies.
