Brabners bucks trend by recruiting more litigators

Brabners bucks trend by recruiting more litigators

Thursday 13th November 2014

North West law firm Brabners is continuing to grow its Commercial Litigation team in Manchester with the appointment of a further two solicitors.

Hannah Bradley joins the firm from Fieldings Porter and has experience in representing a broad spectrum of clients in respect of commercial disputes, including breach of contract claims, negligence claims, property disputes and contentious probate claims. Hannah has a particular specialism in equine disputes.

Raana Afsarpour joins the firm to deal with breach of contract claims, landlord and tenant disputes, shareholder and director disputes and breach of warranty claims. Raana was voted Trainee of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards in 2014 and last year was President of the Manchester Trainee Solicitors’ Group.

Jeff Lewis, partner and head of the Commercial Litigation team in the firm’s Manchester office, said: “It’s very encouraging that, in a climate where litigation is said to be on the downturn and where other firms’ Litigation departments seem to be downsizing, we are continuing to expand.  Hannah and Raana bring key skills and relevant experience that will further enhance our Litigation team and the services that we can offer to our clients.”

Mark Brandwood, managing partner at Brabners, said: “It’s a measure of the skill and success of our Litigation team that we are continuing to expand in this area. These new appointments show that as a firm we continue to build up our presence in Manchester and grow as a business.”
