Brabners wins Maritime Award

Brabners wins Maritime Award

Friday 11th March 2016

North West law firm Brabners last night won an award for Professional Services to the Maritime Sector. The award, from Mersey Maritime, acknowledges Brabners’ expertise in advising businesses and services working in and for the sector. The ceremony was held at Wallasey Town Hall on Wirral.

Denise Walker, partner at Brabners, said:

'We are delighted to have received this award. It is a valued reward for our service to the Maritime, Logistics and Energy Sector, and a great honour to receive. As a business focused law firm we are excited about the opportunities for business clients in the North West arising due to the new port at Liverpool 2, and the Manchester Ship Canal Connections.

It is a great time to be involved in this sector, and we hope that the region goes from strength to strength based on the back of these new and innovative projects orchestrated in the main by Peel Ports, working in co-operation with local government.

We have some knowledge of the plans for future developments within the industry, which will build on regeneration of the sector, and hopefully strengthen the North West in this sector."

Matthew Yates, Head of the Supply Chain, Infrastructure and Logistics sector at Brabners, and Mark Rathbone, Head of Corporate, both expressed their delight at winning the award, as did Mark Brandwood, Managing Partner.
