In our latest video you can see Head of Housing & Regeneration, Alistair Fletcher talk about what makes Brabners the go-to Housing firm in the North West.

At Brabners we have a long history of working with housing associations, public authorities, charities and not for profit organisations which means that our team of highly skilled housing solicitors has the wealth of very practical experience in the sector.

Brabners recently welcomed Sir David Metcalf, Director of Labour Market Enforcement, to the firm’s Manchester office for a lively debate on the importance of tackling labour market abuse with clients from across the recruitment sector.

David was named the first Director of Labour Market Enforcement in January this year and is overseeing a government crackdown on exploitation in the workplace. This includes addressing illegal working practices, ensuring large employers’ supply chains do not breach labour market laws and reviewing the effectiveness of current enforcement efforts.

Brabners have again showcased excellence and expertise this year, with impressive feedback and praise for the firm in Legal 500 2017 – widely acknowledged as the world’s largest legal referral guide.

Specialist M&A lead adviser Brabners Corporate Finance has bolstered its Liverpool-based team with new hire Andrew Norman.

Andrew is an ACA-qualified chartered accountant. He trained at accountancy firm Saffery Champness in Manchester where he went on to be an audit & accounts senior.  He joins Brabners as a corporate finance executive.

Customer service is no longer enough. Any business can give great customer service at one point in time, but your customers’ loyalty and spending is determined by the before, during and after. The overall customer experience.

Do you really know what is going on in your business and how it feels to be a customer? Are you confident that all areas of your business are delivering consistently excellent service in line with your customer charter?

Mark Rathbone, partner and head of corporate in Liverpool, told BBC Radio Five Live recently that increased investment in freight infrastructure is as important to the North West as high-speed passenger transport. Here’s what he had to say:

Writing for the Financial Times (22nd August), former Chancellor George Osborne called on Theresa May to “reboot” the Northern Powerhouse and give the go ahead to HS3.

Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, has received a £3,000 donation from the organisers of the North West Housing Conference, accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth and law firm Brabners.

Crisis helps thousands of homeless people rebuild their lives through housing, health, education and employment services. It offers support, advice and classes in 12 locations across the UK, including a Skylight centre in Merseyside.
